Ingredients

For 2 people

  • 150 g glass noodles (sweet potato starch / Dangmyeon)
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 bell pepper (red or yellow)
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 handful fresh spinach
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sugar or honey
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil for frying
  • 1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
  • (Optional) 150 g beef strips or tofu

Step by step

STEP 1
Cook glass noodles according to package instructions (approx. 6–8 minutes), drain and shorten with scissors.

STEP 2
Prepare the sauce: Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and garlic.

STEP 3
Prepare vegetables: Cut carrot, bell pepper, and onion into strips. Briefly blanch spinach, cut spring onions into rings.

STEP 4
Heat oil in a wok and sauté the vegetables until al dente. Optionally, sauté meat or tofu separately beforehand.

STEP 5
Add noodles and mix with the sauce.

STEP 6
Fold in spinach and spring onions, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
