Rezept für Sweet & Spicy Udon 🍜

Ingredients

For 2 servings

  • 2 servings Udon noodles
  • 1 pack Sempio Tteokbokki Sauce – Sweet & Spicy
  • approx. 150 ml water (for a creamier consistency)
  • 1 hard-boiled egg, halved
  • some fine cucumber sticks
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

Step by Step

STEP 1
Hard boil the egg for approx. 8–9 minutes, quench, peel and halve. Wash the cucumber and cut into fine sticks.

STEP 2
Cook Udon noodles according to package instructions in boiling water (fresh Udon usually only take 2–3 minutes).

STEP 3
In a pan, heat the Sempio Tteokbokki Sauce with approx. 150 ml water over medium heat, stirring. Bring to a brief boil until the sauce thickens slightly and becomes creamy.

STEP 4
Add the cooked and drained Udon directly to the sauce. Let everything simmer for approx. 2 minutes over low heat so that the flavors combine.

STEP 5
Place the creamy Udon noodles in a bowl (or serve directly from the pan 😋). Garnish with the halved egg, cucumber sticks and sesame seeds.

Tip:
If you like it spicier, a hint of Gochugaru (Korean chili powder) goes perfectly with it.
