This Mae Ploy curry paste is an excellent base for authentic yellow Thai curry. With lemongrass, garlic, and galangal, it is fragrant and has a beautiful light yellow color thanks to turmeric. Yellow Thai curry paste is milder than red and green curries because the main ingredient is garlic rather than chili.
Storage and Use Instructions
Store in a cool, dry place. After opening, refrigerate and use within six months.
Preparation InstructionsThe yellow curry paste can be used directly as a seasoning. For a yellow curry, sauté 2-3 tablespoons of the paste in a little oil, add 400ml of coconut milk, and bring to a boil. Add meat, potatoes, and vegetables as desired and cook until everything is thoroughly cooked.
