Rezept für Beef in Pepper Sauce


Ingredients

For 1–2 servings

  • 250–300 g beef (e.g. sirloin or fillet)
  • ½–1 bell pepper (green or mixed colors)
  • ½ onion
  • 2–3 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Black Pepper Sauce (canned)
  • some vegetable oil

Optional for marinating (for a more tender texture):

  • 1 tsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Step by step

STEP 1
Cut the beef across the grain into thin strips. Optionally, mix with soy sauce and cornstarch and let sit for 5–10 minutes.

STEP 2
Heat a pan or wok until very hot, add some oil. Briefly sear the beef over high heat until it browns. Then remove from the pan and set aside.

STEP 3
Add some oil to the pan. Briefly sauté the bell pepper and onion over medium heat until slightly softened but still crisp-tender.

STEP 4
Return the beef to the pan. Add 2–3 tablespoons of black pepper sauce and mix everything well.

STEP 5
Toss everything over high heat for 20–30 seconds until the meat and vegetables are evenly coated with sauce. Serve immediately.
