Sichuan Spicy Noodle Sauce, also known as Dan Spicy Noodle Sauce, is a manufactured spicy sauce base for Dan Dan Noodles. Dan Dan Noodle is one of the most popular Sichuan noodle dishes in China. It's a spicy noodle dish with Sichuan pepper, mustard pickled cabbage, peanut, dried shrimp and garlic as the main players. This noodle dish was invented in 1841 by a street vendor named Chan Construction Construction. He sold his noodles while carrying them on the street with half a bamboo stick, called a "tiu," on his shoulder. Hence the name “Dan Dan Noodle”.
