Rezept für Vegan onigiri


Ingredients

For 6 onigiri

  • 180 g sushi rice
  • 2 tbsp sushi seasoning
  • 1/2 block smoked tofu
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 dash of soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegan Sriracha mayo
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 nori sheet
  • Some black sesame

step by step

STEP 1
Cook sushi rice according to package instructions

STEP 2
Mix hot sushi rice with sushi seasoning and let it steep in a bowl (at least 20 minutes)

STEP 3
In the meantime, grate or crumble tofu into coarse strips and fry in a pan with sesame oil until crispy, then deglaze with soy sauce

STEP 4
Dice the avocado, cut the spring onions into fine rings and mix with the tofu and Sriracha mayo

STEP 5
Lightly moisten your hands, then place 1 tbsp of rice on each piece of cling film, fill with 1 tsp of filling, close with 1 more tbsp of rice and press firmly using the cling film and shape as desired

STEP 6
Cut nori sheets into shape and decorate the finished onigiri with nori pieces and sesame seeds
